^Amen on the batwing. And also I think KD is in line for a zero-g, the one thing that Dominator doesn't have.

I'm just gonna say "Best Park Employee since 2009..."

I LOOOOOVE DOMINATOR!

If you weren't there on Opening day... WOW!!!!! The crowd was AWESOME! The energy was high, talking about A LOT of Coaster fans itching to get their first taste of Dominator. You can look at my videos on my youtube page: ktboo0702.

Here is what I had to say about Opening Day: May 24, 2008 (Posted from my Myspace page)

Yesterday started at 7am when my alarm clock went off. Left Church ( i was at a lock in) at about 7:30, dropped Tommy (my son) off at my Dad's at 8:30, and headed up to Kings Dominion. Arrived at the Gate to the parking lot at 9:15ish and there were about 30 cars in front of me and not a billion, like I had dreamed about the night before. Pulled right into a great parking spot and took a place in line at one of the turnstiles to get in. There were 11 people in front of me, I look behind me and there are all of a sudden, about 75 people behind me, and to make matters worse, I had to pee. LOL. But I wasn't about to give up my spot in line (keep in mind that I went by myself) just to go to the bathroom (yes, I know, I'm a dork). I stood in line for about 30 mins and decided to make some friends with a couple of people in line with me. We passed the time by talking about our favorite coasters and about how psyched we were that today had finally arrived. 10am finally rolled around and the National Anthem was sung, and the gates opened!! I quickly made my way through security and did a fairly brisk walk... ok ok... I RAN over to the entrance to Dominator. I made it just in time to get behind the first riders group. Kings Dominion held an auction benefiting a charity ( I can't remember which one) auctioning off the 32 seats on the first train. As some of the park staff escorted us to the ride, all of us were cheering and getting more pumped up than we already were. As we were walking through the que line, they turned on the little video that they show you while you are in line and we started cheering again. We watched the staff let each of the three trains run the track as their normal test runs, then watched as the lucky (or rich...lol) 29 riders (there were 3 empty seats) got to take the first ride. After they left the loading station, the staff let the rest of us into the station to get in line for seats. At this point, everyone went to the line to be in the first row, allowing me to walk right up and get on the first public train!!! I was SO HAPPY!!!!! I got my wish! So, according to my friend,Cat, who brought up a good point, I am the 9th PUBLIC rider, since technically, the first train was "Private" and the trains on Media Day... yada yada yada...lol... anywho... I chose to ride in the third row on the far left hand seat (on the end) The floor dropped out from underneath of our feet and the train left out of the station and let me tell you about HOW LOUD it was in the loading station. EVERYONE was cheering and having a great time. I was happy to know that I wasn't the only Coaster Geek there! The train pulled out of the station and made the U-turn and started up the 157 ft lift. The view was GREAT, the lift went quick and was smooth, we reached the top and made the 54 degree-148 ft first drop and into the 135 ft tall loop ( the World's Largest Vertical Loop), a quick "flight" over the loading station, and into, in my opinion, the smoothest cobra roll ever, into interlocking corkscrews. There are 5 total inversions pulling in at 3.8 Gs. I can not tell you how great this ride is. I got off of it and said that it's better than *ahem*. I now have a new favorite ride. It was 2 minutes, 6 seconds of adrenaline pumping through my veins. 4, 210 feet of just pure greatness reaching a top speed at 65 mph. The only thing that I did not like about all of this was that the camera that takes your ride photo didn't take a picture of our train.... oh well, I guess, I will just have to ride it again! (and again, and again.... etc) I did, however, get my first rider t-shirt! I enjoyed the rest of my day by riding The Crypt, Flight of Fear 4 times, followed by 7 straight rides on Anaconda ( a ride that I will never get tired of), and a ride on Shockwave. I went and picked up Tommy, then went home to take a nap and then back out to Church for a wonderful night with my friends.

Hope you enjoyed it :-) RIDE ON, RIDE WARRIORS, RIDE ON!!!

Last time I went to ride Dominator my friend was this past fall. They had the smoke machines going for the Halloween events and it was so thick that we it messed with Dominators sensors. We saw a group of people who were sitting at the last brake before the station sit there for about 15 minutes. They got off and finally announced they had to wait for the smoke to clear before the could start the ride again. We didn't get to go on again :-( Here is a picture of all the smoke...

Dominator is an amazing ride and I cannot wait to get back this summer and ride it some more!

^Cool Pic!

I got to ride the last train of the night one day last week. I had gone to the park to cheer up after getting some really bad news. I can not begin to tell you how cool it felt. I was the only one on it, front and center, shoes off, hair out of my ponytail that I usually keep it up in, and hands outstretched like I was flying. (you can call me crazy for saying this... but) I felt the coaster connect to my shoulder blades and felt like I had sprouted wings. I felt like the entire train behind me was "flapping in the breeze"

Dominator can cure any bad day. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Travis: I'll be there tomorrow. I'll keep my eye out for ya tomorrow :-)

Dude, I was scared like CRAZY the morning before I road it. I couldn't sleep that night at all. The whole trip there I was trying to calm myself down. I was freaking out. But i just said "I have to ride it, if i don't like it or get scared it will be over in a few seconds anyways". I rode it and I loved it. Thats what I always do. If I'm sacred of a ride I just think that and so far I have ended up loving and re-riding all the ones that I was scared of.

That's what I tell kids when I go with them. I tell them that if your scared it's over in just a few seconds. I think that's what got the little girl I babysit for on Italian Job....I mean Backlot.... Anyway Big Grin Now she loves it! Always a good theory!

Hey Travis remember me from back on the 20th? I spoke to you as I was exiting the train after my first ride of the day while wearing my "first mate" T-shirt.
