Re: Canada's Wonderland
I honestly do not think this will be a giga. It would be too similar to the last coaster Behemoth which focused on height, speed, ect. Something with inversions, transitions, and just maybe a launch if it's an Intamin I could see coming . There has been a long rumor about a floorless for Canada's Wonderland, maybe it is finally coming.

I'm going to keep a close watch on this project as CF might do another package for the former Paramount parks like they did with the hypers. If we (or BGW) do not have anything similar to what Canada's Wonderland gets, it is a hit with the crowd, we could possibily see something similar in 2014.

Re: Canada's Wonderland
Since they were showing the sky in most of the video, I would think it was either a Giga or a Strata coaster, maybe taller. Also, http://www.canadaswonderland2012.com/ predicts it to be a Intamin LSM Coaster!

Re: Canada's Wonderland
I don't see any way they would install a strata-coaster. Possibly a giga, but not strata.

Me either but it is still a possibility. Everything is a possibility right now.

Re: Canada's Wonderland
Over at http://cwmania.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=46531#p46531 they found a label that says "Giga Coaster"! Let's hope Cedar Fair makes theirs 5 feet shorter than Millenium Force too.

If you don't remember that's how us KD fans found out that we were getting a giga because of the label that said "Giga Coaster"... but ours was on an actual Intamin label.

2012 is going to be absolutely incredible for coasters! Canada's Wonderland (possible Intamin giga), Hersheypark (Intamin hyper), Dollywood (possible B&M wingrider), and BGW (extremely themed launch family coaster).

So in other words, get your passports ready!

The official announcement is Thursday morning, check out canadaswonderland.com for their awesome teaser and teaser site until then.

Re: Canada's Wonderland
The interesting part of the teaser is how good 'ole Dick Kinzel says "We have always loved breaking records! Congratulations Wonderland!"

I guess they could beat Millenium Force's height because it is in Canada so then CP can still say it is the tallest in the United States.

Re: Canada's Wonderland
I'm just not sure how high this thing will be considering the highest any B&M has ever been is 240'. I don't know how much over the 300' mark they will go...

Also, I'm wondering how this will be completely be different from the park's 230' B&M hyper, Behemoth? 300' DIVE MACHINE maybe?

Re: Canada's Wonderland
To me, Griffon doesn't seem very high to me for some reason (which is why I really don't like it much; it just isn't very "thrilling"), but I love the concept of it. If a dive machine was the height of Intimidator 305 (or higher) it would be FANTASTIC!
