Re: Official El Dorado Topic: Ride for Sale
I didn't see it broken down a lot either - but Kyle was there more than I was so I assume he'd know better than I do.

I for one am sad that El Dorado is gone. Americana is nice, but moves a little too slowly. I actually could tolerate El Dorado better than Berserker IMO. I miss it greatly. :'(

Tim and I recently had a chance to go back and pay our respects to El Dorado. The ride looks like crap, but the ride vehical looks great. I wonder if we could put it in our backyard?

Re: Official El Dorado Topic: Ride for Sale
I posted a comment on Tim's Facebook photo of the El Dorado sign that it would be cool if they could somehow put the El Dorado sign somewhere in the Grove as it would go well with the retro theming in the area. But then again, the some of the general public would get confused about that...

Re: Official El Dorado Topic: Ride for Sale
I didn't see it on the park map for 2012. So it's gone for sure, or do you think it will be moved to another area of the park and brought back at some point?

It is gone for good. I would not be surprized if no one buys it. Does not look like its in good shape, and it was a maintince nightmare

Re: Official El Dorado Topic: Ride for Sale
While I won't say it was a mistake to remove it, I thought it was a fun ride, it was similar to Da Vinci's cradle at BGW, but with a single arm than 4 smaller ones. The ride was perfect for the area it was in as it was a 50s type car. But if it was that bad as far as maintenance goes, then so be it.
