where in the park is the crypt?

and your ready to get off the ride and take the merry-go round...
You change your mind, throw you hands in the air
and ride the roller coaster all over again."

All depends on how the crowds are in the park... but it usually goes pretty quick.

Most weekdays (that I've been) the Crypt doesn't have a line.

I know a lot of people like this ride, but for me it's not one of my favorites. I'll help the ones who like it by not getting in line. 8)

I didn't have any problems with the seats or anything, I just don't want to be flipped over a bunch of times real fast like that again. The fire down there when you're flipping seems so unimportant that it may as well not be there (audience's benefit I guess). I do like the water coming up right beneath you.

I rode a Zipper once, I guess the operator saw me trying to get it to flip. He stopped it at the top and we went over maybe 25 times in 30 seconds. Enough for a lifetime, there.

I finally grew a pair and rode the Crpyt....to tell you the truth I love it! It is just so crazy and like nothing I've been on before and the theming to it makes it that much more scary.

Drop Tower is still my fav. flat ride in the park however.

King's Dominion is the best amusement park around, don't let anybody tell ya different

Re: The Crypt Official Topic
One memory that I have about The Crypt is 4th of July, 2 years ago, I was riding The Crypt and the fireworks started while I was on the ride. So, as we were flipping, I was thinking "Ooo (flip) Pre (flip)tty (flip) Fire (flip) Works (flip)

Don't ride Crypt if you plan on having children later in life.

I plan on having kids later in life Big Grin haha
But I've heard it's not that bad - I guess it just depends on the person...

Re: The Crypt Official Topic
I have no clue what you all are talking about! I love the Crypt! It is sooo fun... but only on the Volcano side... the opposite side is "blah". The fire and water just add to the ride! Plus, it is cool because you get a "different" view of the Congo, especially Volcano! This is one thing that I absolutely love Paramount for adding! Big Grin

Re: The Crypt Official Topic
I'm not sure the Crypt prevents you from having children later in life....I think it just is violent...in a fun way....it is definitely very well themed...no complaints there....and I haven't ridden the side opposite of Volcano but I like it when people look at you and are like..."Oh my that's crazy!"
